Name

Acreage

Wilderness acreage on Kingcome Inlet, with approximately 2,951ft of tidal shoreline at the mouth of Kingcome River. Located on the central mainland coast, Kingcome Inlet is a deep fjord, approximately 22 miles in length, accessed from Sutlej Channel in the Broughton Archipelago. This is a region steeped in the magic of the coast, known world-wide for its wildlife, natural beauty and rugged landscapes. It is also a part of the Great Bear Rainforest. The land is steeply sloped in the southern and eastern portions, however there appears to be a wider bench of user-friendly area along the upper north-west portion of the property. The majority of the property away from the tidal shoreline is forested. Two streams cross the property, one at the southern end on steeper terrain and one that curves through the upper portion of the property and comes into the slough approximately halfway along the shoreline. This is a water access property, in a remote area of the coast. Port McNeill, on Vancouver Island, is approximately 52 nautical miles from the property. One can also use helicopter or float plane to access the area. This region provides access to the diverse waterways of the central coast which are popular for boating, fishing and bear watching, as well as the islands and waterways of the Broughton Archipelago. Surrounded by the mountains of Vancouver Island to the west and the Coast Range on the mainland of British Columbia the remote islands of the Broughton Archipelago Marine Park are undeveloped and provide outstanding cruising, kayaking, unlimited and unique fishing, exploring and wildlife watching and access to the many channels and inlets on the mainland.
