“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.”
– Henry Ford
Joe and Terry started within a few weeks of each other at Hoover Realty in 1980, and work together today.
Associate Broker, Realtor, PREC, B.Comm
With nearly 40 years of experience in the Okanagan Real Estate community, as well as repeated recognition as one of the top 1% Royal Lepage Realtors in BC and Canada, Joe’s track record speaks for itself. He’s even earned accolades for his multi-way trades in the turbulent markets of the 80’s.
But that isn’t the reason Joe has repeat customers (some of whom have turned to him 5 or 6 times when buying a home.) Joe’s clients are consistently grateful for his approachability, problem-solving skills, and the effortless connections he builds.
Joe has seen the world, but believes Kelowna is the perfect place to call home. The size is comfortable, the people approachable. Kelowna feels genuine. Joe loves to spend his free time cycling about the Okanagan and spending as much time as he can with his children and grandchildren.
Real Estate Agent
When he was 20, Terry had a conversation with Joe’s brother, Don, that inspired him to begin his career in real estate. Terry has always believed we are meant to spend our lives improving the lives of others, and Don helped him see Real Estate as a way to do that.
In the ensuing 40 years, he has won countless awards not only for his real estate business, but for his selfless charity contributions. He’s in the top 3% of Royal LePage Realtors in Canada.
But the proudest moment of his career? That was when his clients, an elderly disabled couple, had their U-Haul driver cancel last minute. Terry cleared his schedule to drive them and their truck to Calgary — and flew home that night.
Terry always puts the interests of his clients first. His number one rule is “do the right thing,” and he finds that Joe and Jon’s similar values help them form an incredibly cohesive team.
A majority of Terry’s clients have gone to him multiple times, and some have even stipulated in their wills that he is the only person allowed to sell their home. Him and his wife Janet volunteer locally and overseas, and Terry’s favourite part of real estate is helping the disadvantaged get into their first home.
Jon is a young workhorse who is now coming into his own under Joe’s steady mentorship and the team’s thoughtful teaching. He has been a member of the team for 5 years, and hasn’t lost an ounce of the enthusiasm and work ethic he had upon entering the business.
Jon is following the lead of his father, Terry Albrecht, who was a member of the Ungaro Albrecht & Associates team for two decades. Like his father before him, Jon loves to make genuine connections with everyone around him, and he’s driven to help his clients above and beyond the call of duty.
Kelowna born and raised, Jon adores his community and loves being involved in local recreational sports. And for a guy who’s so good impressions, it’s a bit ironic that Jon’s known for being so authentic. He believes healthy communities are built through human connection, involvement and cooperation — values he’s eager to manifest as he accelerates his Real Estate career.
